Valerie Joy Gortmans was born on 12 October 1946 at Hammersmith, London the daughter of Joy (Crow) and Neville Alfred Gortmans.  She married Richard Brett in 1965 at St Mary's Church, Fryerning, Nr Ingastestone and they had three children who are all living.  Valerie died on 25 February 2002.  Valerie and Richard belong to Reis Generation Five; their children belong to Reis Generation Six.
