Sheila Allwynne Cran (SAC) Reis was born on 29 October 1922 in Georgetown, Penang, Malaya, the daughter of Gordon Stanley Reis and Winifred Cran.  She married Frank Man on 26 October 1946.  Allwynne died on 30 July 2001 at Chatterwood Nursing Home, Petersfield, Hampshire. 

She was educated at St David's, Virginia Water, Surrey, Benenden School in Kent and Switzerland. Below are two photographs of SAC taken at St David's.
