Eleanor Fanny Mathilda Loeck was born on 5 July 1884 in Hamburg, Germany, the eldest daughter of Otto Loeck and Eleanor May. She married Harry Morgan Stoe Man on 12 July 1909 in Hamburg. She died on 12 November 1953 in Epsom, Surrey, England.

NOTES: Her English was perfect, being raised by an English governess May Stellan. Below is a 'Slide Show' of pictures of Nora. She had a reputation as expecting the very best of others and for herself.  She was intelligent and well educated and was very demanding in the standards she set others.  I have a copy of her edition of James Joyce's 'Ulysses' published in Paris before it was allowed in England.  She was also very protective of her children providing them always with the very best standards and heaven help those who were unable or unwilling to support her in this endeavor.
