Dennis Gortmans was born in 1931 in Amsterdam, Holland, the youngest son of Constance Rita (Reis) and Godefridus Laurentius Gortmans. He married Aloisia Kerschagel on 1 June 1957 at the Hammersmith Registry Office. Dennis died on 4 March 1991 at Luton, Bedfordshire. Aloisia was born on 17 April 1924 in Stiermark, Austria, and she died on 24 May 1991 in Luton.
