| Thomas May was born in 1819 in Montreal, Canada, the son of
John May. He died in 1873 in Hamburg, Germany. He married Ida
Wolff, daughter of Moritz Wolff and
Fanny Schwabe. Ida was born in 1833 in Hamburg,
Germany, and died in 1877 in Hamburg.
The children of Thomas and Ida are: We know little about the families of these children apart from the descendants of Eleanor, Sydney and Evelyn. These three have their own pages. Whether there are descendants of these Wolff children we do not know. 2. Florence May married Walter Pocock. They lived in Patterson, New Jersey where he died on 24 June 1901. (The source for this is Clara May's diary). The family has been found on the US census. Walter was a medical doctor. The children of Florence and Walter are:
