When Thomas Frognal Dibdin (1776 - 1847) published his book 'The Bibliomania' in 1809, he sent a
copy as a gift to his old schoolmaster - John Man.
We know this because among Didbin's letters in the British
Library is one sent by John Man to his former pupil (Dibdin) thanking
him for the gift. To read the letter please click

He was also the officiating minister at the marriage of
