Ida Wolff was born in Hamburg in 1833, the daughter of Moritz Wolf and Fanny Maria Schwabe.  She married a Canadian from Montreal, Thomas May.  She died at the age of 44 in 1877 in Hamburg, shortly after her husband's death. Their children were raised by their grandmother, Fanny Maria (Schwabe) Wolff.  For details of Ida's descendants see the May Family page.  Her sister Clara married Frederick May half-brother to Thomas.
