3. HORACE GEORGE MAN, born on 21 July 1856 in Glasgow, Scotland, baptized on 20 August 1859 at All Souls, Langham Place, St. Marylebone, Middlesex, and died on 27 July 1871 at Halstead, Kent (killed by a blow to the head from a cricket ball), and buried on 31 July at St. Margaret's, Halstead.

1. ELEANOR KATHERINE ELLEN MAN, was born on 21 December 1870 and was baptized on 15 January 1871 at Oorai, West Bengal, India.  She married Charles F. Blacklaw in 1894 in Bengal. A note says they had issue.;
2. MARGARET HILDA CAROLINE MAN, was born on 23 February 1872 and was baptized on 25 March 1872 at Juanpore, West Bengal, India;
3. HARRY GEORGE PERCY GARNET MAN (1874 - ?);
4. DAISY VIVIAN MAN, born July 1876 in India and died on 21 November 1883 aged 7 years and 4 months at Dehra Doon, North West Province, India; and
5. LOUISA ELSIE ROWLEY MAN, born abt. 1887 in India and died on 24 August 1932 at Folkestone, Kent. She married a man named William A. Hall in the December quarter of 1930 at Folkestone. In two censuses (1901 and 1911) her name varies. In 1901 her names is given as just Louisa (1901) and in 1911 as Louisa Emma. On both census  her year of birth is given as 1888.   On the 1932 death index she appears as Elsie L. R. Hall  and her age is given as 55 years (i.e. born in 1877). This may well be a mis-transcription and her age at death was 44 years.

All of the above are descended from Henry Man (1748- 1799) and his son Harry Stoe Man (1783 - 1848), all those listed below are descended from Henry Man's brother James Man (1755 - 1823) and his son Edward Man (1784 - 1832).

The children of Edward Desborough Man (1814 - 1893) and Louisa Mary Harris (1824 - 1874) are:

JOHN DESBOROUGH MAN, born on 19 October 1853, at 17 Spencer Place, North Brixton, Kennington, Lambeth, Surrey, baptized on 23 December at St. Mark's, Kennington, died unmarried on 9 November 1875, at Richmond Estate, St. Anne's Bay, Middlesex, Jamaica, and was interred at St. Anne's Bay Cemetery, Jamaica, on the same day. (He may have gone to Jamaica with his Kirkness cousins Charles, Frederick, and Lawrence (below)).

The children of Julia Mary Man (1816 - 1894) and William John Kirkness (1809 - 1877) are:

1. WILLIAM EDWARD KIRKNESS, born on 25 May 1845 at the Rectory, Forrabury, Cornwall, baptized on 22 June at St. Symphorian's, Forrabury, and died unmarried on 9 November 1866 at St. Mary's Hall, Oxford. He was buried on 18 November 1866 at St. Symphorian's, Forrabury, Cornwall;
2. JULIA HOLWORTHY KIRKNESS, born on 20 December 1846 at the Rectory, Forrabury, Cornwall, baptized on 7 February 1847 at St. Symphorian's, Forrabury, died unmarried on 17 September 1933 at "Fircot", Burton Common, Petworth, Sussex, and buried on 20 September at Burton Park, Petworth;
3. JAMES DESBOROUGH KIRKNESS (1848 - 1870);
4. JOHN KIRKNESS (1850 - 1912);
5. CHARLES MAN KIRKNESS, born on 21 February 1852 at the Rectory, Forrabury, Cornwall, baptized on 21 March at St. Symphorian's, Forrabury. He was found on the 1880 census of Corvallis, Oregon, USA, with his brother Frank, but returned to England, died unmarried on 9 May 1920 at "Fircot", Burton Common, Petworth, Sussex, and buried on 13 May at Burton Park, Petworth;
6. FREDERICK LEWIS KIRKNESS, born on 12 October 1853 at the Rectory, Forrabury, Cornwall, baptized on 30 October at St. Symphorian's, Forrabury, Cornwall and died unmarried on 17 October 1871 at Jamaica;
7. LAWRENCE FRANCIS HINGSTON KIRKNESS, born on 5 August 1855 at the Rectory, Forrabury, Cornwall, baptized on 20 August at St. Symphorian's, Forrabury, emigrated to the USA around 1878 and died on 27 September 1884 at Corvallis, Oregon;
8. LOUISA JANE HINGSTON KIRKNESS, born on 6 October 1856 at the Rectory, Forrabury, Cornwall, baptized on 26 October at St. Symphorian's, Forrabury, died on 6 October 1935 at "Kernick", Grayshott, Hampshire, and buried on 9 October; and
9. LOUISA CATHERINE KIRKNESS, born on 26 July 1858 at the Rectory, Forrabury, Cornwall, baptized on 22 August at St. Symphorian's, Forrabury, and died unmarried on 11 August 1930 at "The Meades", Kenneth Road, Thundersley, Essex.

The children of Frederick Man (1825 - 1897) and Elizabeth Emily Dumas (1835 - 1864) are:
