Frederick May was born in 1842  and died in 1908 and was the half brother of Thomas May.  In 1872 he married Clara Wolff (pictured left). His brother Thomas May married Clara Wolff's sister namely - Ida Wolff.  Clara May died quite young in 1896.  Frederick then married on January 22, 1903 Louie Spencer Smith. However five years later on June 16 he  died of Typhoid fever and heart disease at Parkstone in Dorset, according to the entry in his daughter's (Clara May) diary.
