Catherine Mary Felicity Man was born on 12 June 1913 in Kent, the daughter of Edward James Fowle Garnet and Beatrice (Crofts) Man. She married Stephen Barton Durnford in 1943. She died on 30 May 1977 at Bodiam, Kent. Stephen was born on 21 November 1914 at Bickley, Kent and died on 6 April 1993. They were divorced.
